On the second day of the ongoing Asian Junior Squash Championship in China, Pakistani players advanced to the quarter-finals in the Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 categories. In the Under-19 category, Pakistan’s Ins Ali Shah faced defeat at the hands of an Indian player.
On the same day of the championship, in the Under-19 category, Pakistan’s Ins Ali Shah competed against India’s Shourya Bawa. After gaining a lead of one game, Ins Ali Shah unfortunately lost two consecutive games. The intense match, lasting for an hour and 10 minutes, concluded with the Indian player winning with scores of 8/11, 11/9, 9/11, 11/5, and 11/7.
Abdullah Nawaz qualified for the quarterfinals in the Under-17 category. In the second round, he defeated Malaysia’s Kritthee Pilaipornkul with a score of three sets to one, despite losing one set. However, in the same age group, Abdullah Nadeem, the second seed from Malaysia, defeated Lo Voi Seng of Malaysia with a score of three sets to zero.
In the Under-15 category, Pakistan’s Ibrahim Zeb defeated Ethan Kauw from Singapore with a score of three sets to zero, securing a place in the quarterfinals.
In the Under-13 category, both Pakistani players, Nauman Khan and Ahmed Ryan Khalili, advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Indian players. Nauman Khan defeated Shreesth Air while Ahmed Ryan Khalili defeated Saouth Rohit Patil.
