According to an insider, Timothée Chalamet’s family, known for their strong educational backgrounds, is reportedly not in favor of his relationship with reality TV star Kylie Jenner.
A source, speaking about the budding romance between the two, revealed to Star Magazine that while Kylie Jenner’s family is fond of the “Wonka” star, Chalamet’s family holds reservations about the Kylie Cosmetics founder.
The insider explained that Timothée Chalamet’s mother, Nicole Flender, who is educated at Yale, and his father, Marc Chalamet, a French writer, are concerned that Jenner might have a negative influence on their son.
“They worry that what she [Jenner] and her family represent — excessive spending, plastic surgery, and a lack of education — goes against their own values,” stated a source close to the Chalamet family.
On the other hand, some insiders have claimed that Kris Jenner, Kylie’s mother, and her famous sisters, including Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner, have a deep fondness for Timothée Chalamet.
“It’s a difficult situation, especially considering how welcoming her sisters and mom have been to Timothée,” the source noted, highlighting Jenner’s feelings about the differing views of Chalamet’s family.
Previously, Timothée Chalamet’s sister, Pauline Chalamet, appeared to indirectly criticize Kylie Jenner while addressing issues related to privilege within the elite class. In a social media post, she advocated for the tax deduction of student loan payments for jobs that mandate a college degree, comparing it to how CEOs can write off expenses like private jets and yachts for jobs that require no such qualification.
