Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, reaffirming the longstanding and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Both leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthen their historic partnership, focusing on trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz wrote, “It was a great pleasure and honor to meet my brother, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in Riyadh today.” He added, “I remain deeply grateful for His Royal Highness’s personal commitment and resolute support in advancing our shared vision for deeper collaboration and prosperity for our two nations and peoples.”
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also attended the meeting. Upon arrival at Al Yamamah Palace, the Saudi Crown Prince warmly welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz and his delegation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the visit, he will attend the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, themed “The Key to Prosperity: Unveiling the New Frontiers of Growth.” The event will gather global leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators to explore critical issues such as innovation, sustainability, economic inclusion, and geopolitical transformation.
According to the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will hold talks with the Saudi leadership to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and human resource development. Regional and global matters of mutual concern will also be discussed.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz will meet leaders of other nations and heads of international organizations on the sidelines of the FII Conference, where he will highlight Pakistan’s investment potential and its vision for sustainable economic growth.
