NADRA launches E-katchery to resolve citizens’ complaints online.

In a groundbreaking development, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new initiative allowing citizens to have their complaints addressed from the comfort of their homes.

NADRA — the sole authority for issuing national identity cards and other identification documents to citizens in Pakistan and abroad — has taken this step to ensure swift and convenient grievance redressal.

Acting under the special directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Director General of NADRA’s Regional Office Lahore will conduct an e-katchery session through the official NADRA YouTube channel.

This live session will enable citizens to directly interact with the DG NADRA Regional Head Office Lahore, share their concerns, and receive immediate assistance and solutions.

The e-katchery will take place on Wednesday, October 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interested participants can join the live stream at @nadraofficial on YouTube or contact 042-99232809 for more details.

Earlier, NADRA, in collaboration with provincial governments, introduced a nationwide digital system for registering births and deaths in hospitals and healthcare centres. This digital framework aims to make the registration process faster, more efficient, and transparent.

Following the directions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, NADRA continues to enhance the country’s registration systems and eliminate existing inefficiencies.

This latest initiative falls under the National Biometric and Registration Policy Framework, approved by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on January 1, 2025.
