The Ministry of Health (MoH) of Oman has called on citizens and residents to update their personal details and contact information during visits to health institutions nationwide.
The directive supports Oman’s national e-government strategy, which focuses on development programmes and digital projects aimed at enhancing integration across government entities.
According to the MoH, accurate information will:
- Enable smoother access to healthcare services.
- Improve the accuracy of medical records.
- Strengthen communication with patients.
- Support the roll-out of the new digital health services platform.
The Ministry emphasized that public cooperation is crucial for the success of this digital transformation, which will improve service quality, streamline administration, and help achieve Oman’s broader national development goals.
This initiative follows the launch of the Oman System for Accreditation of Health Institutions (OSAHI) last year, which aims to raise healthcare standards across public, civil, military, and private institutions.
Recognised by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), OSAHI was designed to align with both local infrastructure and international regulations, ensuring patient-centered care and safeguarding healthcare workers.
With these efforts, Oman seeks to advance its healthcare sector, integrating technology-driven services with internationally accredited systems to deliver safer, higher-quality medical care.
