Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has landed in legal trouble after an FIR (First Information Report) was lodged against him and two members of his team in Rajasthan. The complaint, filed by line producer Prateek Raj Mathur on September 1 in Bikaner, accuses Bhansali of fraud, misbehaviour, and breach of trust related to his upcoming film Love & War.
Allegations in the Complaint
According to Mathur, he was hired as a line producer for the high-profile project and had already completed his responsibilities — including logistical arrangements and coordination with government departments — before his contract was abruptly terminated.
He alleged that Bhansali, along with producers Arvind Gill and Utkarsh Bali, removed him from the project without compensation. The FIR includes charges of fraud, criminal conspiracy, and criminal intimidation.
Mathur further claimed that when he attempted to meet Bhansali at a hotel to resolve the issue, the filmmaker allegedly disrespected and misbehaved with him.
Investigation Underway
Police confirmed that the matter is under investigation. No official response has yet been released by Bhansali or his production house.
