The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket West Indies (CWI) are in discussions to remove the ODI leg of Pakistan’s upcoming 2025 Caribbean tour, replacing it with an expanded T20I series, according to multiple media sources.
Shift in Focus to T20 Format
Originally set for July–August 2025, the series currently includes:
- 3 T20 Internationals (July 31, August 2, 3) in Florida
- 3 One Day Internationals (August 8, 10, 12) at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad
However, both boards are now considering scrapping the ODIs, keeping in view the Asia Cup 2025 (T20 format) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. A similar approach was taken earlier this year when ODIs were dropped from Pakistan’s bilateral series with Bangladesh.
This potential change underscores both boards’ strategy to prioritize T20 preparation for global tournaments.
Current T20I Schedule (Confirmed)
- July 31 – 1st T20I, Broward County Stadium, Florida

- August 8 – 1st ODI, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad
- August 10 – 2nd ODI, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad
