Turkish content creator Turkan atay accuses Maria B of non-payment for Turkey-based brand shoot.

Renowned Pakistani fashion designer Maria B is facing serious allegations from Turkish content creator Turkan Atay, who claims she was not fully compensated for managing a brand shoot in Turkey earlier this year.

Atay, who boasts over 850,000 followers on Instagram and is known for her Urdu-language content, stated that Maria B’s team contacted her in 2025 to facilitate a location shoot in Turkey, including coordination and production logistics.

According to Atay, the agreement was based on charges per outfit, covering local production costs. However, despite completing the shoot, she says she received only a partial payment.

In a video message posted to her social media, Atay said:

“It’s been three months. They’ve wasted my time, dodged complete payment, and treated me unprofessionally.”

She further alleged that Maria B’s team disputed the original terms, claiming that payments were typically made per social media reel — not per outfit. Atay also accused the designer’s team of deleting previous communications after her husband tried to resolve the issue with them.

This isn’t the first time Maria B has faced criticism regarding her dealings in Turkey. Previously, artist Leena Ghani accused the designer of plagiarizing a specific design, adding to a growing list of controversies.

As of now, there has been no official response from Maria B or her team regarding Atay’s claims.
