Chaired by Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Health, Dr. Mukhtar Bharath, the meeting highlighted strategies to reduce pollen levels, particularly from wild mulberry trees, which are considered the primary cause of allergic reactions in the city.

Key Actions Taken:

🌿 Wild Mulberry Tree Removal – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) reported significant progress in removing 5,000 out of 7,000 trees from F-9 Park. A phased removal plan is also underway in H-8, H-9, and Shakarparian areas.

🌱 Planting of Allergy-Free Trees – To maintain environmental balance, authorities are replacing removed trees with environmentally friendly species to promote a healthier ecosystem.

🏡 Air Quality Improvement – The government aims to enhance air quality and reduce allergic reactions for Islamabad’s residents by completing the tree replacement by April.

Dr. Mukhtar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating pollen allergies and ensuring a healthier living environment for the people of Islamabad. 🌳✅
