A tragic incident occurred on Monday at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona when a midsize business jet skidded off the runway during landing and collided with a parked jet. The crash left at least one person dead, and four others were injured, according to authorities.
Dave Folio, spokesperson for the Scottsdale Fire Department, reported that emergency responders were working to free one person trapped inside one of the planes, while three others were taken to nearby hospitals. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the incident involved a Learjet 35A, which skidded off the runway and collided with a Gulfstream 200 jet.
This crash adds to growing concerns over US air safety, with investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) currently probing several recent deadly accidents, including a midair collision in Washington, D.C., a medical jet crash in Philadelphia, and a plane crash in Alaska.
