Yango Ride, a global ride-hailing service, has partnered with oladoc, Pakistan’s leading digital healthcare platform, to introduce a groundbreaking initiative aimed at improving healthcare accessibility for its partner drivers and passengers.
As part of this collaboration, Yango’s community will receive free subscription access to oladoc’s platform, enabling them to book appointments with top doctors, access teleconsultations, and manage healthcare needs conveniently. This partnership is a direct response to the growing demand for telemedicine services, a trend that surged significantly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A report by Rock Health indicates that 80% of people have used telemedicine at least once, with 74% of millennials favoring teleconsultations for their immediacy and convenience. This initiative particularly benefits underserved groups, including older adults and rural communities, while addressing the challenges faced by busy commuters and drivers in managing their medical appointments.
“This collaboration ensures that our partner drivers and passengers can access healthcare services when they need them most,” said Miral Sharif, Country Manager of Yango Pakistan. “We are committed to improving the well-being of our community.”
Echoing this sentiment, Abid Zuberi, CEO of oladoc, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing its alignment with oladoc’s mission to expand healthcare access through innovative solutions.
This partnership follows Yango’s recent launch of free Ride Insurance in collaboration with Waada, ensuring the safety of passengers and drivers. By integrating healthcare services into its platform, Yango continues to set new standards in digital convenience and community well-being, paving the way for future cross-industry collaborations.
