Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi celebrated the outstanding achievement of the Pakistan cricket team, who secured a home Test victory against England after a challenging 15-month wait.
“Bravo, Team Pakistan! You’ve delivered a remarkable home Test win after a long drought, showcasing a historic performance against England,” the Prime Minister shared on his X social media platform. He went on to commend the “spectacular” efforts of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, who took nine and eleven wickets, respectively, playing pivotal roles in the match.
“This was a remarkable display of teamwork,” Prime Minister Shehbaz remarked, emphasizing the collective effort that led to the Green Shirts defeating England at Multan Cricket Stadium and leveling the three-match series 1-1 with a resounding 152-run victory in the second Test.

Echoing the Prime Minister’s sentiments, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the team’s collaborative spirit, stating that “this long-awaited success is a testament to effective teamwork.”
In his message to the players, Naqvi highlighted the significant contributions of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, whose brilliant bowling was instrumental in securing the win. He also recognized Kamran Ghulam for showcasing his potential by scoring a century in his debut match.
“Passion, hard work, and a professional mindset have been the driving forces behind the team’s success. The newcomers have truly justified their selection,” he noted.
