Following Princess of Wales Kate Middleton’s recent public appearance post her abdominal surgery, the British royal family has made a significant announcement, shared by royal expert Rebecca English on social media platform X.
Quoting the palace, Rebecca tweeted, “NEW: The Queen, accompanied by the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent, will attend the annual Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration @wabbey on Monday.”
Commonwealth Day is an annual observance celebrated across 56 countries globally, spanning Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Americas, the Pacific, and Europe. This year’s theme, ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Commonwealth,’ reflects the shared values and goals of the diverse member nations.
Another royal expert, Cameron Walker, also confirmed the news on X, mentioning that King Charles and Kate Middleton would not be in attendance. He tweeted, “The King, currently undergoing cancer treatment, is refraining from public engagements at this time. The Princess of Wales, who is recuperating from abdominal surgery, will also be absent.”
