The last session of the investigative committee probing alleged electoral fraud accusations by former Commissioner Rawalpindi, Liaqat Ali Chatha, is set to take place today.
According to sources, the investigative committee will finalize its report on the allegations leveled by former Commissioner Rawalpindi, Liaqat Ali Chatha, and will present its findings to the Election Commission today.
The committee’s report is expected to shed light on the accusations made by Liaqat Ali Chatha and provide insights into the alleged electoral irregularities in the Rawalpindi division.
Sources indicate that the investigative committee has compiled written statements from all six District Returning Officers (DROs) in the Rawalpindi division, as well as statements from 13 National Assembly and 26 Provincial Assembly returning officers. These statements will be included in the committee’s report.
Furthermore, transcripts of the press conference where Liaqat Ali Chatha addressed the allegations of electoral fraud will also be incorporated into the investigative report.
