Dior’s Men’s Artistic Director, Kim Jones, showcased a winter collection that exuded elegance, featuring precisely-tailored garments adorned with redistributed decorative elements.
Models gracefully navigated a circular runway in ballet flats, showcasing collarless tops, shimmery capes, and a denim trouser and jacket ensemble cinched at the waist and embellished with rhinestones.
Jones drew inspiration from the profound friendship between his uncle, Colin Jones, a ballet dancer and photographer, and the legendary dancer Rudolf Nureyev. This influence was evident in the loose, feminine styles that beautifully captured the essence of the world of dance.
The finale was a spectacle as models formed a circle facing the audience, and the floor seamlessly began moving, gently turning the models and lifting them upward to create a stunning cake-like shape.
As part of Paris Fashion Week’s fall/winter menswear shows running through Jan 21, the event features presentations from major industry players such as LVMH, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Valentino, and Balmain. Additionally, smaller labels like Ami, Sean Suen, and LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi contribute to the diverse showcase of cutting-edge fashion.
