In a meeting with senior journalists in Lahore, Shahbaz Sharif, the President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), declared that the decision regarding Punjab’s next Chief Minister would be made by Nawaz Sharif.
Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that if the (N) League comes into power, they will address urgent issues like unemployment, inflation, and the skyrocketing prices of electricity. He highlighted the pivotal role played by the PML(N) in averting diplomatic crises and credited the party for efforts in safeguarding Pakistan against disintegration, particularly mentioning the constructive role of seasoned diplomats like Sartaj Aziz.
Referring to Nawaz Sharif’s political journey, Shahbaz Sharif remarked on the orchestrated efforts, including the role of political turncoats like Saqib Nisar, which led to Nawaz Sharif’s ousting. He claimed that the party never resorted to manipulative tactics and faced challenges with resilience.
Shahbaz Sharif asserted that the divisive narrative introduced by the PTI had polarized society, creating social rifts that pose a significant challenge. He acknowledged that dissipating this animosity within the next couple of years would be a considerable challenge.
Discussing economic strategies, Shahbaz Sharif outlined the need for a Charter of Economy to navigate the country through challenging times. He announced that Nawaz Sharif would decide on the next Chief Minister of Punjab, emphasizing the importance of the party manifesto and Nawaz Sharif’s direct involvement in guiding the nation forward.
Addressing the nation’s youth, Shahbaz Sharif stressed the need for investing billions in uplifting the younger generation, considering them crucial to Pakistan’s future.
