Pakistan’s Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, has accused Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), of engaging in artificial intelligence-generated content by claiming that Imran Khan did not write the article published in a foreign magazine.
Chaudhry stated that Imran Khan confessed to not writing the article himself and failed to authenticate the anti-state and anti-America content present in it. The Information Minister emphasized the prevalence of deceptive practices by some pseudo-intellectual anchors and foreign media outlets.
During a hearing in Adiala Jail, a journalist questioned Imran Khan regarding whether he wrote the article or had it dictated. Initially, Imran Khan claimed to have written it himself but later stated that it was dictated.
Imran Khan, as per the PTI spokesperson, takes full responsibility for the article hidden in The Economist. Contrary to this, the PTI maintained that The Economist’s published article was written by Imran Khan himself.
Responding to another query, Imran Khan acknowledged that we are living in the era of artificial intelligence, hinting that his speech on this matter would soon be circulated on social media.
This controversy unfolded after Imran Khan, currently imprisoned in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, recently wrote an article in The Economist, alleging that the establishment toppled his government under pressure from the United States.
The PTI’s spokesperson insisted that the article published in The Economist was penned by Imran Khan himself and refuted claims of artificial intelligence involvement.
In light of these developments, it is evident that the foreign media article controversy has raised questions about authenticity, with political figures engaging in a war of words over the origin and content of Imran Khan’s recent publication.
