JUI-F Spokesperson Urges Authorities to Address Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Concerns Seriously

Hafiz Hamdullah, the spokesperson for the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), has emphasized the need for political institutions, the caretaker government, and the Election Commission to seriously address Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s reservations.

Speaking on Geo News’ program “Geo Pakistan,” Hafiz Hamdullah highlighted that Maulana Fazlur Rehman repeatedly raises concerns related to security threats, insecurity, and seasonal challenges. He pointed out that during the winter season, people from higher altitudes move to urban areas, facing issues of insecurity and security threats. Additionally, if individuals cannot leave their homes, they are deprived of their right to vote. Therefore, it is essential to address questions related to the election in a secure environment.

Hamdullah asserted that the upcoming decision of the Supreme Court on February 8th holds significance. He reiterated Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s demand for providing security to voters, urban dwellers, and JUI-F leadership. Stressing the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment, he stated that if prominent political parties do not take these concerns seriously, they should inquire from the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
