Misinterpretation of My Statements on Inflation, Says PML-N Leader Daniyal Aziz

Senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Daniyal Aziz, has clarified that opponents are misusing his recent remarks on inflation related to Ahsan Iqbal.

A few days ago, Daniyal Aziz had stated that Ahsan Iqbal considers himself extremely intelligent regarding local governments and should respond before criticizing the Price Monitoring Committee’s chairman. He questioned why Ahsan Iqbal, during his tenure as the chairman of the Price Monitoring Committee, couldn’t control inflation.

Daniyal Aziz also expressed that due to this incompetence, our government faced complete failure at the grassroots level. While PML-N initially issued a show-cause notice to Daniyal Aziz for his statements against Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, the president of PML-N Punjab, later elevated it to a party ticket dispute.

Now, Daniyal Aziz has released another statement, asserting that opponents are wrongly exploiting his November 30th statements on inflation. He claims that his statements are being used by the opposition, particularly the Pakistan Muslim League (N) to attribute responsibility for inflation.

The PML-N leader stated that the purpose of his statements was to boost Ahsan Iqbal’s morale as the chairman of the Price Monitoring Committee. He emphasized that his intention was to bring the actual reasons for inflation to the public eye.

Furthermore, Daniyal Aziz explained that the goal of his statements was to highlight Ahsan Iqbal’s efforts to benefit those taking advantage of inflation. He argued that his statements were being misused to place blame on Ahsan Iqbal for inflation, whereas he intended to shed light on the root causes.

In light of this clarification, Daniyal Aziz aims to underscore that his statements were not meant to criticize Ahsan Iqbal but rather to encourage him in his role as the chairman of the Price Monitoring Committee. The assertion is that the opposition has manipulated the narrative to serve their political agenda, distorting the intended message about addressing inflationary challenges.
