PTI Chief Pervez Khattak: Parties Promoting Hate Against National Institutions Will Cease to Exist

Pervez Khattak, the head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has declared that political parties engaging in a politics of hatred against national institutions have either ceased to exist or have dwindled to become regional entities. Speaking at a workers’ convention in Nowshera, Khattak outlined that the PTI would also become a part of history, aligning itself with the past, as parties that propagated animosity against national institutions have met their demise or transformed into localized entities.

Khattak underscored the significance of steering away from a politics of animosity, emphasizing that the PTI should evolve beyond past trends. He expressed that parties engaging in divisive politics against national institutions have either vanished or reduced their influence to provincial or district levels.

The PTI leader conveyed that the era of “change” associated with Imran Khan has moved beyond rhetoric, with the abolition of the symbol of the cricket bat, indicating a symbolic end to the PTI’s identity. He pointed out that the Election Commission has eliminated the cricket bat symbol, concluding that on the 8th of February, the name and emblem of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would no longer exist.

Furthermore, Khattak stated that the founder of PTI was ahead of Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif in terms of change and accountability. He dismissed the notions of change and accountability as mere theatrical acts, asserting that the real orchestrators of corruption were Zardari and Nawaz Sharif themselves.

This pronouncement by Pervez Khattak not only signals a shift in the party’s symbolism but also reflects a broader narrative of moving away from divisive politics.
