PTI chairman barrister Gohar Khan affirms strong electoral strategy and condemns undemocratic practices.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan outlined the party’s robust electoral plans, revealing that the PTI founder is set to contest elections in Lahore, Mianwali, and Islamabad. Barrister Gohar expressed confidence in the PTI’s ability to overcome potential alliances, emphasizing the importance of upholding the right to vote.

Addressing concerns about the punishment of the PTI founder, Barrister Gohar assured that a decision would be announced shortly. He underscored the party’s commitment to fair elections and discussed ongoing efforts to secure the appropriate electoral symbol for the PTI as the largest political party in the country.

Barrister Ali Zafar, echoing the importance of democratic processes, announced the PTI’s desire for elections to take place on February 8. He emphasized that candidates who have made sacrifices for the party would be given preference in the allocation of party tickets.

Expressing concerns about the democratic integrity of the electoral process, Barrister Zafar disclosed instances of nomination papers being forcibly taken from PTI candidates. He asserted that such undemocratic practices would be legally challenged, reinforcing the party’s commitment to ensuring a fair electoral environment.

In addition, Barrister Zafar declared that the PTI founder would receive nomination papers imminently. While acknowledging challenges, he emphasized the party’s stance against supporting the demand for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, stressing the pivotal role of the judiciary in safeguarding people’s rights during the electoral process.
