New Zealand has unveiled a formidable squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 in South Africa, featuring promising talents with notable cricket lineage. Zac Cumming, son of former opener Craig Cumming, pacer Matt Rowe, cousin to White Ferns seamer Hannah Rowe, and Tom Jones, grandson of ex-Test skipper Jeremy Coney, add a familial touch to the Kiwi lineup. Jones, a 17-year-old batter from Auckland, aims to emulate his grandfather’s cricket legacy. Led by captain Oscar Jackson and coached by Jonny Bassett-Graham, the Kiwis enter the tournament with confidence after an unbeaten run at the East Asia-Pacific qualifier earlier this year. Their campaign kicks off against Nepal on January 21 at Buffalo Park in East London.
