Pakistani women cricketers create history with first-ever T20I series win against New Zealand.

In a historic achievement, Pakistani women cricketers secured their maiden T20I series victory against New Zealand, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series with one match remaining. The Pakistan Women’s team clinched a 10-run triumph over the hosts.

Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 137 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The team then showcased exceptional bowling to limit New Zealand to 127 runs, capturing seven wickets in the process.

While one match is still pending, this victory marks the first-ever T20I series win for Pakistan Women over their New Zealand counterparts. Muneeba Ali, Aliya Riaz, and Fatima Sana played pivotal roles in securing this historic triumph.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to pacers Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, and leg-spinner Usama Mir for their participation in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2023-24.
