Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, recently addressed a gathering in Peshawar, emphasizing the party’s commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing the country. Bilawal Bhutto dismissed any misconceptions about forcibly making someone the Prime Minister, asserting that such notions are based on a misunderstanding. He declared that the true face of those chanting slogans like “Give Respect to the Vote” has been revealed before the public.
During the rally, Bilawal Bhutto expressed that the PPP is the only party that stands against inflation, unemployment, and poverty, considering them as his primary opposition. He conveyed his dedication to serving the common people and highlighted the need for his presence among the masses to understand and address their grievances.
Referring to other political parties, Bilawal Bhutto claimed that their true nature has become apparent. He criticized the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), stating that it has transformed into a party that lacks the ability to govern and has failed to bring about the promised change. He contrasted the PPP’s performance with that of other parties, challenging them to compare their 16 months in power with his party’s achievements.
Bilawal Bhutto highlighted his efforts in mobilizing the United Nations to aid flood victims, making a promise to build houses for the affected families. He mentioned the initiation of a project to construct 200,000 houses within a few months, providing financial assistance to flood-affected families to facilitate home construction.
The PPP Chairman also underscored the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing the country’s challenges. He asserted that the Foreign Minister alone cannot solve all issues, emphasizing the role of a dedicated Prime Minister in addressing economic and social problems. Bilawal Bhutto presented the PPP’s manifesto, emphasizing that the party is committed to representing the marginalized sections of society and initiating programs like the Benazir Income Support Program, agricultural support initiatives, and the Benazir Health and Education Cards for laborers.
In his speech, Bilawal Bhutto criticized the alleged deception faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citing the misuse of health cards to channel funds to private hospitals, resulting in a decline in the standard of government-run healthcare facilities.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s address at the PPP rally outlined the party’s vision for addressing key issues in Pakistan, underscoring its commitment to social welfare programs and equitable governance. The chairman’s speech aimed to resonate with the public and position the PPP as a party dedicated to serving the interests of the common people.
