The victim, identified as Quratul Ain, had entered into matrimony with Ibrar just last month on October 5, against the wishes of her parents. The couple resided in an apartment in DHA Phase-VIII, the location where the tragic incident unfolded.
The police have taken both the husband and a servant into custody as part of their thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Quratul Ain’s death.
As per initial reports, Ibrar informed the police that his wife had previously attempted suicide a few days ago by consuming a poisonous substance. He claimed to have rushed her to a private hospital to save her life during that earlier incident.
Adding to the complexity of the case, Ibrar disclosed that his wife had recorded a video prior to her suicide, expressing her despair and stating that she was tired of her life.
In the pursuit of a comprehensive inquiry, the police have seized the mobile phones belonging to both the deceased and the suspect. The investigation aims to shed light on the events leading up to this tragic loss and determine the circumstances surrounding Quratul Ain’s untimely death.
