CTD Operations lead to arrest of TTP commander and four terrorists in Punjab.

Lahore, Pakistan – In a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs), the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claims to have apprehended five terrorists, including a key TTP commander, across multiple cities in Punjab. The operations, totaling 179 IBOs, were conducted in Pakpattan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, and Sahiwal.

The arrested TTP commander, identified as Nadeem, was apprehended in Pakpattan. Substantial recoveries were made, including explosive material, five detonators, two IED bombs, two hand grenades, weapons, and cash, indicating a potential threat to significant installations in the province.

The detained terrorists were named as Nadeem, Shehbaz, Khalid, Madni, and Salman Saeed. The Counter Terrorism Department revealed that the suspects were allegedly planning to target important installations within the province.

The CTD reported a total of 82 suspects arrested during 769 combing operations conducted this week. Additionally, 31,250 individuals were interrogated by the law-enforcement agency. The spokesperson affirmed the CTD’s dedication to eradicating terrorism in Punjab to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
