Punjabi singer and actor Amy Virk has expressed deep concern for his family currently in the United Arab Emirates amid ongoing regional tensions.
Virk revealed that his wife and six-year-old daughter are in Dubai, admitting that the situation has taken an emotional toll on him.
In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, the singer opened up about his anxiety as a father. “The situation in the UAE has been weighing heavily on my heart. My wife and my six-year-old daughter are there, and as a husband and father, it’s impossible not to feel emotional and tense during times like this,” he wrote.
Sharing a particularly emotional moment, Virk quoted his daughter as saying: “Papa, I will hide under my bed if something happens. I am a strong girl papa, don’t worry.” He added, “That is not what a father wants to hear.”
The singer said that every news update now feels personal, acknowledging that public figures also carry private fears. “No matter how strong we try to be in public life, at the end of the day we are family people,” he said.
Virk further extended his prayers beyond his own household, noting that many families are facing similar uncertainty and stress. “My prayers are not just for my loved ones, but for every person affected,” he stated.
He also appreciated the efforts of the UAE authorities for maintaining safety and stability during challenging times, expressing gratitude for their work.
Concluding his message, Virk called for peace and protection for all. “Let us continue to pray for peace, stability and the well-being of everyone there. May this phase pass soon and may all families feel secure and protected.”
