IHC issues notices on plea to shift Imran Khan to hospital for treatment.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday issued notices to the relevant authorities in a petition seeking the transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to Shifa Hospital for medical treatment.

A two-member bench comprising Justices Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Khadim Hussain Somro heard the case, during which objections raised by the Registrar Office were also taken up. Senior lawyers, including Latif Khosa and Salman Akram Raja, appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner.

During the proceedings, Latif Khosa urged the bench to fix the hospital transfer plea for hearing the following day. However, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir observed that the preparation of the paper book would require two to three days. He informed the court that notices had already been issued to the state in connection with the transfer request.

The bench further announced that the main appeal in the matter would be scheduled for hearing next week and directed the counsel to come fully prepared.

Separately, the court ordered that the Toshakhana criminal case be fixed for hearing on March 10.
