MQM-Pakistan Announces Plans for Karachi’s Orange Town and Advocates for Political Unity

In a recent gathering held at the Orangi Town German Ground, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), addressed the crowd, outlining the party’s commitment to the welfare and progress of Karachi, specifically focusing on the development of Orangi Town. During his speech, Dr. Siddiqui underscored MQM-P’s dedication to resolving the challenges faced by the residents of the area.

One of the central themes of Dr. Siddiqui’s address was the importance of political unity for the betterment of Karachi and Pakistan as a whole. He emphasized that MQM-P was ready to pay any price to save the nation, underlining the party’s unwavering commitment to the country’s welfare. He expressed concerns about the power struggles within the provincial government, particularly regarding the 18th constitutional amendment, stating that the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had monopolized all authorities and resources under its control.

Dr. Siddiqui pointed out the vast disparity between the promises made by the PPP-led government and the realities faced by the citizens. He accused the PPP of receiving substantial funds from the federal government but failing to invest them in the province, specifically mentioning the construction of properties in Dubai worth billions of rupees. He stressed that the people of Karachi had been deprived of their rightful share of resources and developments.

The Orangi Town rally was a significant event for MQM-P, highlighting its efforts to address the city’s issues comprehensively. The party has focused on education in the area, establishing Varsity College and introducing modern computer labs for improved learning opportunities. Additionally, MQM-P has worked on resolving water scarcity problems and providing quality education to the youth.

Senior Deputy Convener Farooq Sattar and Deputy Convener Nasreen Jalil also addressed the gathering, echoing Dr. Siddiqui’s sentiments about the dire need for change in Karachi. They emphasized MQM-P’s dedication to the welfare of the people, particularly focusing on Karachi’s urban development and the improvement of living conditions in areas like Orangi Town.

The rally served as a platform to reiterate MQM-P’s commitment to the citizens of Karachi, showcasing their determination to fight for their rights and elevate the city’s status. The party’s efforts in areas like Orangi Town underscore its mission to bring tangible improvements to the lives of the people it represents, emphasizing the importance of political unity to achieve these goals.
