Pakistan to fully digitalize Hajj operations for 2026

The Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced plans to fully digitalize Hajj operations for 2026, according to ARY News.

To advance this initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Information Technology. The agreement aims to streamline and modernize the entire Hajj management process through digital solutions.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and Federal Minister for Information Technology Shiza Fatima attended the signing ceremony.

Addressing the event, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said the move would make the Hajj process more transparent and accessible for pilgrims. He emphasized that digitization would reduce unnecessary delays and minimize human errors, helping Pakistan align its Hajj operations with international standards.

Shiza Fatima highlighted that an end-to-end digital system would be introduced, including the launch of a simple and user-friendly online Hajj portal.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that the portal will improve coordination among all stakeholders and ensure that deadlines set by Saudi authorities are met efficiently and on time.
