PM Ramzan Relief Package 2026 – Key Decisions
An Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting, chaired remotely by Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, reviewed funding for the Prime Minister’s Ramzan Relief Package (PMRRP) 2026.
Key approvals:
- Rs 25 billion requested by the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation
- Rs 19 billion already allocated for the current fiscal year
- Immediate release of Rs 19 billion to start disbursements
- Remaining funds to be released based on need
The total package is valued at Rs 39 billion, including:
- Rs 10 billion already available with Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP)
- Rs 29 billion through supplementary grants and re-appropriated funds
The ECC also gave in-principle approval of Rs 1 billion for operational expenses, including payments to partner financial institutions and outreach efforts. Any unused funds must be returned under standard financial procedures.
