JLo Faces backlash over GlamBots clips

Jennifer Lopez has been called out online after her recent GlamBots interaction at the Golden Globes went viral for the wrong reasons.

The 56-year-old singer made a striking appearance on the Golden Globes red carpet, where she stopped by for the high-speed solo motion videos. However, her brief exchange with a Canadian filmmaker was labelled as rude by some viewers, prompting fans to revisit her past GlamBots clips.

In one clip from 2022, Lopez, wearing a sparkly dress, is seen walking off without acknowledging or speaking to the filmmaker. Another video from 2023 shows him giving instructions while she adjusts a large green ribbon before walking away without making eye contact.

The clips sparked debate online, with users questioning her behaviour and whether she comes across as dismissive. One TikTok user claimed her sister, who worked for a business consulting firm, said their team was “told not to address (JLo) or look at her until she initiated any conversation.”

Other netizens weighed in, with one saying the On the Floor hitmaker always gave “mean girl energy,” while another praised the director for remaining “professional.”

As speculation grew, the mastermind behind the GlamBots segment addressed the controversy, saying, “I’ve never felt anybody was rude to me.” He added that he understands celebrities are often rushed and stressed, which is why he “never takes it personally.”
