Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first against host Sri Lanka in the third and final T20I of the series.
Due to rain, the match has been reduced to 12 overs per side. The second T20I of the series was also abandoned without a result as heavy rain prevented even the toss from taking place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan have made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Naseem Shah and Khawaja Nafay. Khawaja Nafay is set to make his T20I debut in this match.
The Green Shirts currently lead the three-match series 1-0, having won the opening game.
The T20I series is serving as preparation for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which will begin on February 7 in Sri Lanka and India. Pakistan will play all of their World Cup matches in Sri Lanka.
Before the World Cup, Pakistan are also scheduled to host Australia for a three-match T20 series, while Sri Lanka will later host England in a white-ball series.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other 27 times in T20 internationals, with Pakistan winning 17 matches.
