Flight operations at Peshawar Airport were severely disrupted due to adverse weather conditions, leading to delays affecting at least 42 flights.
According to aviation sources, poor visibility forced two Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights arriving from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to divert to Islamabad instead of landing in Peshawar.
Several international flights also faced significant delays. Qatar Airways flights QR-600 and QR-601 from Doha to Peshawar were delayed by up to 12 hours, while Etihad Airways flights EY-276 and EY-277 from Abu Dhabi experienced delays of approximately seven hours. Flights arriving from Sharjah and Dubai were also impacted, with delays ranging between one and two hours.
The weather-related disruption extended beyond Peshawar. At Islamabad Airport, 18 flights were delayed by one to three hours. Other domestic airports reported similar issues, with five flights each delayed in Lahore and Karachi, two in Multan, and four in Faisalabad.
Passengers have been advised to remain in close contact with their respective airlines to receive the latest updates, as unfavorable weather conditions continue to affect flight operations across multiple regions of the country.
