Report details Millie Bobby Brown’s complaint involving David Harbour

A recent report has shed light on claims made by Millie Bobby Brown against her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour ahead of the show’s fifth and final season.

According to a November report by The Daily Mail, Brown filed a formal complaint accusing Harbour of harassment and bullying prior to the start of Season 5 filming. Sources said an internal investigation followed and continued for several months, noting that the allegations did not include any claims of sexual misconduct.

Neither Brown nor Harbour has publicly commented on the matter. However, the two were seen together recently at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, where they appeared cordial, embracing and laughing on the red carpet. Both actors spoke positively about their time on the Netflix series, with Brown expressing appreciation for working alongside Harbour.

Variety later reported, citing sources familiar with the situation, that Brown’s complaint was investigated and ultimately resolved. The sources confirmed parts of The Daily Mail’s earlier reporting and added that Harbour was never expected to play a major role in Season 5 promotions due to his busy filming schedule, which includes Avengers: Doomsday and HBO’s upcoming series DTF St. Louis.

During red carpet interviews, Brown reflected warmly on her breakout role and described the “special bond” she shares with Harbour, whose character Jim Hopper serves as a father figure to her character Eleven. Harbour echoed those sentiments, saying he “adores” Brown and calling the production “very special.”

Industry public relations experts cited by Variety suggested that the public reunion and Brown’s social media activity since the complaint emerged indicate unity within the Stranger Things cast, as anticipation builds for the show’s return.

Season 5 of Stranger Things will be released in three parts. The first four episodes will premiere on November 26, followed by three episodes on December 25, with the series finale airing on December 31. In addition to streaming worldwide, the final episode will be screened in more than 350 cinemas across the U.S. and Canada starting December 31 at 5 pm PT.
