Post Malone suffered an on-air mishap after attempting a risky stunt during a recent Twitch livestream.
The rapper and singer injured his wrist last week while broadcasting live as part of Post Malone’s Murder Circus Encore, where he was playing the video game Hunt: Showdown 1896. During the stream, Malone decided to try a backflip off his swivel desk chair while holding a lit cigarette.
“Here it comes, y’all. This is just an attempt,” Malone — whose real name is Austin Post — told viewers as he climbed onto the rolling chair.
As he positioned himself, the chair rotated beneath him, causing him to lose balance and fall hard to the floor without completing the flip. A loud groan followed the fall, but moments later Malone stood up, flashed a thumbs-up at the camera, and laughed it off.
“It was all right,” he said, before joking that the rotating chair caused him to hurt his wrist. Remarkably, he managed to keep hold of his cigarette throughout the tumble.
Despite the injury, the stream continued with Malone playing the game, drinking Bud Light, and smoking cigarettes. The artist, who is set to headline Stagecoach later this year, appeared unfazed as he carried on entertaining his audience.
