During a weekly press briefing, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, Ms. Moomtaz Zahra Baloch, emphasized the need for the host country to provide robust security for Pakistan’s cricket team. She also expressed the hope that visas would be promptly issued to Pakistanis eager to witness the global cricket event, emphasizing that India should refrain from mixing politics with sports.
Addressing the policy regarding Afghan migrants, Ms. Baloch clarified that there have been no recent changes. She stated that the recent decisions would not affect legally residing Afghan migrants; however, those lacking proper documentation or visas would face legal action. This policy, she emphasized, applies universally and is not specific to any particular country.
Ms. Baloch also highlighted that Pakistan’s concerns were being represented at the Trans-Himalaya Forum in Tibet by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Regarding the Palestine issue, she reiterated Pakistan’s unequivocal policy, emphasizing that decisions taken align with national interests and values.
