Pakistan Condemns Alleged Attack on Russian President’s Residence.

Pakistan on Tuesday condemned reports of an attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said such an act is a serious threat to peace and stability, especially when efforts for peace are ongoing.

He expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with President Putin and with the government and people of Russia, and reiterated Pakistan’s strong opposition to all forms of violence.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed that Ukraine tried to attack the presidential residence in the Novgorod region using drones, all of which were destroyed by Russian air defenses. He said there were no casualties or damage.

Ukraine denied the claim, with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy calling it false and saying it was meant to damage peace talks.

Lavrov said Russia would review its position in negotiations and warned that such actions would not go unanswered.
