Dhaka Capitals assistant coach Mahbub Ali Zaki has died after collapsing before his team’s Bangladesh Premier League match against Rajshahi Warriors in Sylhet.
The 59-year-old fell while the teams were warming up and was rushed to the hospital. Reports say he suffered a heart attack.
The news of his death reached the stadium after the game had started.
Beis Daeed’s father had showcased outstanding bowling skills in 2003 against India, where he delivered a stellar performance, giving away only 35 runs and claiming four wickets. His victims included cricket legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh, and Zaheer Khan. However, despite his brilliant bowling, India emerged victorious with a 68-run lead.
