Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah is once again trending on social media — but this time, not for a fiery spell or a match-winning wicket.
A video from the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where the ongoing tri-nation series (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe) is being played, captured a wholesome and humorous moment between the young pacer and fans.
After the match, Naseem walked toward the stands to meet supporters. Amid the cheers and photos, a female fan repeatedly requested a selfie. Bashful and smiling, Naseem jokingly replied:
“Yaar, mujhe ghar pe daant paregi. Sacchi, mera baap daantay ga!”
The crowd burst into laughter at his innocent excuse, and the clip has since gone viral across social media platforms, with fans praising both his humility and sense of humour.

In a recent interview, the pacer also shared his three favourite dismissals since making his international debut.
- Naseem made his Test debut against Australia in Brisbane in November 2019.
- In February 2020, he became the youngest bowler in Test history to claim a hat-trick, achieving the feat against Bangladesh at the age of 16 years and 359 days.
