Actress Mawra Hocane melted hearts across social media this weekend after posting a deeply emotional and love-filled birthday message for her mother-in-law, Hena.
Sharing a carousel of heartwarming photos on Instagram, the Sanam Teri Kasam star highlighted the strong bond she shares with her MIL. The post opened with a lively clip of the two dancing together during the Dholki at her wedding to actor Ameer Gilani in February. Other images featured moments from the couple’s Valima ceremony, along with beautiful solo portraits of her mother-in-law.
“Happiesttttt birthday to the coolest person I know… my mother in love… my beautiful Hena,” Mawra wrote.
She continued with a heartfelt tribute, praising Hena’s personality and presence in her life. “You can send her memes & she fully knows what’s happening in Stranger Things, and you can also ask her for advice on the most crucial matters of life,” Mawra said, adding that her MIL embodied “generational grace, tradition & old school things.”
Calling her the “best chef, best homemaker, best fashion advisor & the funniest/brightest person in the room,” Mawra admired her energy, saying Hena could “dance till the wee hours of night and still be the first person up in the morning running her home like a pro.”
In an emotional conclusion, Mawra wrote, “I hope & pray to be half as good as you… love you sooooo much & sooooo grateful for you. I must’ve done something insane in my life to deserve you.”
Mawra, who married Ameer Gilani on February 5, also paid a special fashion tribute to both her mother and grandmother through her bridal look — a detail she has previously spoken about with pride.
