The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently unveiled the official anthem titled ‘Dil Jashn Bole’ for the upcoming 2023 World Cup. This anthem features the charismatic Indian actor, Ranveer Singh, whose star-studded presence adds to the excitement surrounding the event.
The primary goal of this anthem is to encapsulate the fervor and anticipation that come hand in hand with such a prestigious sporting spectacle. Ranveer Singh joined forces with renowned Bollywood composer Pritam to craft this anthem, and he expressed his deep sense of honor in being part of this project, underlining its celebration of the beloved sport of cricket. He enthusiastically stated, “Being a part of this anthem launch for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is truly an honor.”
Scheduled from October 5 to November 19, the ICC World Cup 2023 will encompass ten venues, where ten formidable teams will vie for the coveted trophy. Both the opening match and the championship showdown will unfold at the illustrious Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Throughout the World Cup, teams will engage in a total of 45 league matches, pitting their skills and strategies against each other in pursuit of glory. The top four teams will earn a berth in the semifinals, slated for November 15 in Mumbai and November 16 in Kolkata. Importantly, reserve days have been earmarked for the semifinals and the championship match, ensuring a fair and uninterrupted contest.
Pakistan’s cricket team is set to participate in a total of 11 matches during the ICC World Cup 2023, comprising two group stage encounters and two warm-up matches. Their schedule is as follows:
- October 6 – Pakistan vs. Netherlands in Hyderabad
- October 10 – Pakistan vs. Sri Lanka in Hyderabad
- October 14 – Pakistan vs. India in Ahmedabad
- October 20 – Pakistan vs. Australia in Bengaluru
- October 23 – Pakistan vs. Afghanistan in Chennai
- October 27 – Pakistan vs. South Africa in Chennai
- October 31 – Pakistan vs. Bangladesh in Kolkata
- November 4 – Pakistan vs. New Zealand in Bengaluru (Day match)
- November 11 – Pakistan vs. England in Kolkata
