Sri Lanka has announced its One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) squads for the upcoming tour of Pakistan, which is set to begin on November 11.
All-rounder Charith Asalanka will captain both 16-member squads, which will feature in three ODIs and a T20I tri-series also involving Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
Squad Updates and Injuries
Opening batter Dilshan Madushanka, initially included in the ODI squad, has been ruled out due to a knee injury, with Eshan Malinga named as his replacement.
Meanwhile, fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana, who was part of the original T20I squad, will also miss the tour as he recovers from an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI). Asitha Fernando has been brought in as his replacement.
Match Schedule
The second and third ODIs will be played on November 13 and November 15, followed by the T20I tri-series, which begins on November 17 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The series will act as crucial preparation ahead of next year’s ICC T20 World Cup.
