Google achieves record U.S. sales boost with pixel 10 series launch.

Google’s Pixel 10 series has propelled the company to its highest-ever monthly smartphone sales in the U.S., marking a major milestone for the brand. According to Android Authority, data from Counterpoint Research shows that Google’s U.S. Pixel sales surged 28% year-on-year in September, setting a new record.

The growth reflects Google’s increasing influence in the premium smartphone segment, where its share of the $600-and-above market climbed from virtually zero three years ago to over 6% by September 2025.

Launched in August, the Pixel 10 lineup—featuring the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold—has been praised for its Tensor G5 chip and Gemini AI integration, which power new performance and camera features.

Google’s aggressive marketing campaign also played a key role. The company leaned heavily on AI-driven promotions and playful comparisons with Apple’s iPhone, while simplifying the iOS-to-Pixel transfer process. Customers ordering through the Google Store can now pre-set their iPhone data transfer even before receiving their new device—reducing friction for first-time Android users.

Counterpoint’s analysis shows that Google’s share in the $600+ category jumped from 0.1% in September 2022 to 6.1% in 2025. However, analysts note the comparison requires context: in 2022, Google’s only premium option was the nearly year-old Pixel 6 Pro, while in 2025, four brand-new Pixel 10 models were actively driving sales.

Despite that caveat, the data confirms one thing—Google’s Pixel brand has firmly entered the top tier of the smartphone market, with momentum that shows no signs of slowing.
