The national selection committee has announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming two-Test series against South Africa, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27, beginning on 12 October. The squad will be trimmed before the first Test.
Shan Masood will continue as captain, while three uncapped players — Asif Afridi, Faisal Akram, and Rohail Nazir — have earned call-ups. South Africa, winners of the previous ICC World Test Championship (2023-25), will face Pakistan in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

- Second Test: 20–24 October, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
Following the Test series, the two teams will play three T20Is and three ODIs between 28 October and 8 November. The white-ball squads will be announced later.
