Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will arrive in Doha today to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, convened to formulate a collective response to Israel’s recent airstrike on the Qatari capital.
The high-level summit, co-sponsored by Pakistan, comes amid escalating tensions in Palestine, including Israel’s bombardment of Doha, continued attempts to seize Gaza, expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank, and the forced displacement of Palestinians.
Heads of state, government leaders, and senior officials from Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries will participate in the session. The meeting follows Sunday’s preparatory talks among foreign ministers, where Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar represented Pakistan.
Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s aggression against Qatar and the wider region, reaffirming its steadfast support for Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Earlier, on September 11, 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha to meet Qatari leadership and express Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace, security, and stability.
