The Ministry of Finance has announced the latest fuel prices, effective September 1, 2025, keeping petrol rates unchanged while reducing the prices of diesel, light diesel, kerosene, and LPG.

Petrol will remain available at Rs 264.61 per litre, while diesel has been reduced by Rs 3 per litre to Rs 269.99.
On August 16, the government had also kept petrol prices unchanged but slashed diesel by Rs 12.84 per litre, bringing it down to Rs 272.99 until August 31.
LPG Prices for September 2025
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a Rs 1.17 per kg reduction in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for September. The revised LPG price now stands at Rs 214.2 per kg.
Similarly, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder (11.8 kg) has been reduced by Rs 14.36, bringing it down from Rs 2,541.36 to Rs 2,527.
Officials said the revisions reflect global oil market trends and aim to provide financial relief to consumers.
