Dodgers blank reds 7-0 to regain NL west lead.

The Los Angeles Dodgers dominated with a 7-0 shutout victory, reclaiming sole possession of first place in the NL West.

San Diego slipped a game behind the Dodgers following their 9-6 loss to Seattle over the weekend.

Sheehan Shines on the Mound
Emmet Sheehan (5-2) delivered a career-best performance, tossing his longest outing while allowing only two hits — a double to former Dodger Gavin Lux in the second inning and a single to Austin Hays in the seventh. He walked just one batter.

Pages Sparks the Offense
Andy Pages powered the Dodgers’ lineup, homering into the bullpen in the third off Hunter Greene (5-4). He followed with another blast in the fifth after Michael Conforto’s double, giving LA a 3-0 advantage.

The Dodgers extended their lead in the sixth after Freddie Freeman doubled and Will Smith drew a walk. Pages reached on a fielding error by Elly De La Cruz, and Hays’ wild throw allowed both runners to score, pushing the lead to 5-0.

Mookie Betts added a solo shot in the seventh, and Pages capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly to seal the 7-0 win.

Defensive Gems Seal the Game
The Dodgers’ outfield shined defensively. Michael Conforto robbed Spencer Steer with a catch at the wall, while Teoscar Hernández denied multiple hits — snaring Jose Trevino’s liner in the third, scaling the wall to rob Ke’Bryan Hayes, and colliding with the scoreboard to track down Matt McLain’s deep fly.

The combination of Sheehan’s dominance, Pages’ power, and outstanding defense made the Dodgers’ win a complete team effort.
