UFC fight card: sterling vs. ortega co-main, walker seeks redemption against mingyang.

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling will return to action in the co-main event, facing Brian Ortega, in what promises to be one of the highlights of the upcoming UFC card.

Walker vs. Mingyang

Light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker is desperate to get back on track after suffering back-to-back knockout losses against Magomed Ankalaev and Volkan Oezdemir. Currently ranked 13th in the division, Walker has won only three of his last six bouts, defeating Anthony Smith, Ion Cuțelaba, and Paul Craig. His overall professional record stands at 21 wins, 9 losses, and 1 no contest.

His opponent, Zhang Mingyang, enters the fight on an incredible hot streak, having remained unbeaten since 2019. During this period, he has secured 14 consecutive victories, including dominant showings against Anthony Smith and Ozzy Diaz. Known for his finishing ability, every one of Mingyang’s UFC wins has come by TKO. Despite his run, he is currently ranked 14th in the division with a professional record of 19 wins and 6 losses.

Sterling vs. Ortega

In the featherweight co-main event, Sterling looks to bounce back after a recent setback. He impressed in his return at UFC 300, but fell short against Movsar Evloev at UFC 310. Still, Sterling has won four of his last six fights and currently sits at No. 7 in the featherweight rankings, with a career record of 24-5.

Ortega, a seasoned contender, will be aiming to halt Sterling’s progress and solidify his own place in the division.
