More than 20 children in Quetta’s Sariab area were hospitalized on Saturday after allegedly consuming contaminated ice cream.
Civil Hospital Quetta’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Abdul Hadi, said children from Keechi Baig, Qambrani Road, and Basheer Chowk were brought in unconscious. Eight of them were discharged after receiving first aid, while 12 remain under medical observation. He confirmed that none of the cases are critical.
Police have launched a search for the ice cream vendor following complaints from parents.
